About Thamescraft Dry Docking
Our team at Thamescraft Dry Docking Services Ltd is highly experienced and hardworking, not only providing comprehensive dry docking facilities, but also a range of marine services
Based on the Greenwich Peninsula, four miles from Tower Bridge, we operate three floating dry docks servicing both commercial and non-commercial vessels.
As well as this, we operate a fleet of modern multi-purpose workboats playing a vital role in delivering some of London’s largest marine construction projects. These include the London City Airport extension, Thames Tideway Tunnel, and Fulham Football Club’s riverside stand development.
We carry out half of all annual maintenance work needed for London's maritime tourism industry
Our workforce consists of welders, fabricators, surface preparation and coating specialists, fitters, engineers and project managers. As operators of one of London’s only remaining boatyards, we carry out around half of all the annual maintenance work needed for London’s maritime tourism industry, and three-quarters of the Thames pleasure boat refit and maintenance work requiring Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) accreditation.
We have operated in Greenwich for more than 20 years. The boatyard carries out routine maintenance and emergency repairs to piers, pontoons and vessels, all of which are not only essential to cargo handling, but also to waste recycling and tourist traffic on the river.
Our facilities are available 24 hours a day to help with your vessel repairs and scheduled maintenance.

Dedicated Marine Support
We provide all types of marine support for civil works on the River Thames.
Our wharf in Greenwich is the closest independently operated deep water loading facility to central London and is serviced by our own 100T crawler crane. The berth has been used to supply London-based marine construction works with supplies and equipment; most recently our tugs and barges transported over 200 lorries’ worth of steel and precast concrete segments to Fulham Football Club, significantly reducing congestion through central London.
Our marine construction team provides heavy lift services, diving works, salvage, piling, jetty installation and repair, demolition and wreck removal works, and turnkey marine construction project management.
