Dry Docking

Our three dry docks enable us to take larger vessels and pontoons out of the water for regular maintenance and emergency repairs. They are securely anchored on the river bed to provide safe deep water berthing

Our Thamescraft Dry Docking repair and maintenance services centre on our three floating dry docks at Badcocks Wharf. Our workshop capability includes welding, general fabrication in stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium. Environmentally controlled conditions enable us to work regardless of weather conditions. We have a full complement of highly skilled and experienced marine engineers.

Mobile services

In addition to our comprehensive dry docking facilities, our mobile team can provide on-site services for individual vessel owners, or fleet operators of pontoons or vessels, operating alongside from our 18m tender multi-cat type boat, the Jack D.

Services include: Cranage up to 6 tonnes; cutting and welding; salvage pumps; the transportation of goods; maintenance and repair work.

As well as supplying emergency repair and maintenance services to major fleet operators we have worked on some uniquely individual projects, including the “Grand Turk”, a 22 gun frigate replica, originally built to work in films, before being cast in the TV series “Hornblower”. To help you with your scheduled maintenance and vessel repairs our facilities are available 24 hour a day.
